Summary
ImgBench is designed so your images are never uploaded to our servers. All image processing happens locally in your web browser on your device. We do not store, access, or transmit your files.
Image files
When you use any ImgBench tool, your files are read from your device into browser memory and processed using JavaScript, Canvas, and WebAssembly. No image data is sent to imgbench.comor any third-party server as part of normal tool operation.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools → Network tab, use any tool, and confirm there are no upload requests containing your image data.
Local storage
ImgBench may store non-sensitive preferences in your browser's localStorage, including theme preference (light/dark), favorite tools, recently used tools, and QR code design presets. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Background removal AI
The background removal tool downloads an AI model to your browser on first use. Inference runs locally via WebAssembly. Your photos are not sent to an external AI API for processing.
Website mockup tool
The website mockup generator can capture URLs via a screenshot service when you enter a website address. If you prefer fully local processing, use upload mode with your own screenshot instead.
Analytics & cookies
ImgBench does not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies by default. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
